Bitumen

Bitumen is the binder that holds modern road networks together. SARV Trading Group supplies penetration-grade bitumen for road paving, roofing, and waterproofing projects, with a focus on the quality consistency that contractors and importers in China require.

Penetration Grades 60/70 and 80/100

The penetration grade describes bitumen hardness at standard temperature — and therefore where it performs best.

Penetration grade 60/70 is a harder grade suited to hot climates and heavy-traffic roads, where softer bitumen would rut and deform under load. It is the workhorse grade for highway construction across much of Asia.

Penetration grade 80/100 is a softer grade used in cooler climates and general paving applications, offering good workability where extreme heat is not the governing factor.

Both grades are widely used in roofing membranes and waterproofing compounds. Viscosity grades (VG) are available on request for buyers whose specifications call for them.

What Consistency Means on Site

A grade on paper means little if every cargo behaves differently. Inconsistent penetration or softening point forces contractors to adjust mix designs on the fly — costing time and risking pavement failures. SARV’s bitumen is produced to tight specification tolerances with batch-to-batch consistency, so the material placed in month six behaves like the material placed in month one.

Inspection and Documentation

Most Chinese importers require independent inspection as a condition of purchase. SARV works with SGS and equivalent inspection agencies, providing certificates that document penetration, softening point, and ductility for every shipment — the paperwork buyers need for customs clearance and quality assurance.
